Action Together COVID-19 Community Response Fund

Published date:
Thursday, 2nd April 2020

At Action Together we recognise community action is taking place across the boroughs of Oldham, Rochdale and Tameside & Glossop, and we want to encourage and support this action.

We are delighted to let you know that we are launching a Community Response Fund that is available for Oldham, Rochdale and Tameside & Glossop groups from the voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) sector working on a COVID-19 Community Response and meet either of these priorities:

Legal and General Health Equity Fund

Aims/priorities: The funding is intended to support place-based projects that address the social determinants of health (SDH): non-medical social and economic factors, such as housing, education, infrastructure, or quality of work. These factors create and shape the conditions in which we are born, grow, live, work, and age, but they are not always equitable.

The funding is for not-for-profit organisations with projects or ideas for projects to be delivered in regions and communities in the UK.

Scops Arts Trust

Aims/priorities: The aim of the Trust is to give people of all ages the opportunities to access, participate in and enjoy the arts (particularly the performing arts), and support projects that widen access and have a lasting cultural impact on local communities.

Who can apply? The Trust mostly supports registered charities.

Applications will also be considered from social enterprises, community groups, and other third sector organisations, as long as they are formally constituted and have clear charitable purposes.

Jerwood Foundation

Aims/priorities: This fund aims to support organisations with a focus on making art available for public benefit and emerging talent in the arts throughout the UK.

Who can apply? Groups working to make art available for public benefit can apply.

Groups must provide a copy of their organisation's latest audited accounts (smaller charities should instead provide their annual budget with income and expenditure details).

Grant amount: There is no maximum or minimum award amount specified.

Heat Networks Delivery Unit (HNDU)

Aims/priorities: The objective of the fund is to encourage and support local authorities in the development and growth of new heating and cooling networks, and the expansion of existing heating and cooling networks, in England and Wales.

Local authorities are invited to bring forward ambitious and innovative proposals to develop and deliver low carbon heat networks.
