Crisis in Gaza

We recognise that members of the communities Action Together supports have been affected by the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and conflict in Israel and Palestine, as we too have been affected.

We know that global issues can have an impact locally on all our safety and wellbeing. We are also concerned that a minority of people may use this crisis to engage in antisemitic or Islamophobic behaviour. As an anti-racist organisation we stand against discrimination and for stronger communities. We support the Greater Manchester Let’s End Hate Crime campaign, and you can find information on what a hate crime is, what help and support is available, and how to report it on this website: https://www.letsendhatecrime.com/

On this page we’ve compiled a list of national and international appeals to support people affected by the crisis.

Appeals

Medical Aid for Palestinians

“Our team in Gaza are working right now to buy and distribute whatever aid they can find in the local market. We are now also operating in Egypt, where our team has procured over US$1 million of medical supplies for Gaza. These supplies have begun to arrive in Gaza via Rafah crossing and are being delivered to hospitals, where they are desperately needed."

Oxfam

“Help provide food, clean water, sanitation and hygiene items, and begin work rehabilitating water and wastewater networks, as soon as it’s safe."

Palestine Red Crescent Society/Red Cross

“Red Cross and Red Crescent teams have been facilitating trucks of aid with vital medical supplies, food, water, milk and nappies for children, and tents."

Save The Children

"We've distributed food parcels, water, hygiene products and recreational kits to families in Gaza through local partners. We have also started to provide mental health and psychosocial support to children and their families and we’re delivering cash to families to help them to buy essentials."

UNRWA

“UNRWA is calling for immediate access to humanitarian aid and urgent funding for food and non-food items for Palestine Refugees in need."
