Rochdale Networks

Action Together hosts a range of networks to strengthen voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise organisations across Rochdale.

Networks are focused on systems change, and have a Foundation Group who are funded to lead the work.

1. Neighbourhood Networks

Delivered in partnership with Public Health, our Action Together Neighbourhood Networks are a space in each township, bringing together public sector, VCFSE sector and community leaders to connect, build relationships and take action on shared local challenges.

2. Rochdale Welfare Advice Forum

This group aims to bring together groups and organisations who provide welfare advice and support to residents. The Forum intends to unite frontline organisations to share best practices, training, resources, and referrals, as well as discuss any pressures in the system and how they might be tackled collaboratively. This group will be led by Citizens Advice, who have recently been commissioned as welfare advice 'System Lead' to help facilitate and support organisations across the borough who are providing advice and support to residents. This group is also supported by Action Together and Rochdale Council.

3. Emotional Health and Wellbeing Forum

Our Emotional Health and Wellbeing Forum is a space held for like minded organisations interested in supporting and improving access to mental health and wellbeing pathways. This forum aims to: Sustain inclusive VCFSE support pathways, share information and service updates to prevent silo working and offer peer support and space for reflection. Our quarterly meetings welcome Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise organisations working to support people and communities around Emotional Health and Wellbeing across Rochdale.

4. Food Solutions Network

The Food Solutions Network facilitates community, voluntary, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) sector organisations, alongside statutory partners, to improve access to food for the people of Rochdale Borough. The Food Solutions Network welcomes and supports all foodbanks, pantries, clubs and social food projects in the borough.

5. Rochdale Women’s Services Network

Our Women's Services Network is a space for all those interested in improving the life experiences of Rochdale women. Our priorities focus on Violence against Women and Girls (VAWG), with a sub-group focused on women's health. Our quarterly meetings welcome voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise organisations, partners and activists working to support people and communities around women’s priorities across Rochdale.

6. Rochdale Anti-Poverty Network

Our Rochdale Anti-Poverty Network is a space for all those interested in addressing the root causes of poverty and inequalities, and improving lives for the people of Rochdale.

7. Rochdale Refugee and Asylum Seeker Multi-Agency Forum

In Rochdale we have a wealth of amazing groups who offer support to refugees and people seeking asylum, this Forum brings together organisations and services who support asylum seekers and refugees across Rochdale. It is a space for these groups to begin a conversation about how we can do more together and support each other, along with the opportunity to listen and learn from each other.

8. Rochdale Ethnic Communities Network

Facilitated by KYP in Rochdale, this Network offers a space to make voices heard, share and exchange ideas, explore opportunities for collaboration and work together to influence policy change.
