Action Together's Community Development Workers facilitate monthly Community Explorer Forums, to support grassroots groups and help organisations network in their neighbourhoods.
The purpose of these forums is to enable voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise organisations in local communities to come together to share with each other information about the important work they are doing and to provide opportunities to:
- share information
- make ‘asks and offers’
- develop new ideas and connections
- find out what else is happening in your area
- meet those in the know and get support from Action Together
By using your knowledge, skills, networks, and connections of assets in the community, VCFSE organisations are then better able to raise awareness of the on-going experiences and issues that affect local people. It is also an opportunity to develop collaboration between VCFSE and public sector organisations.
