The Business and Intellectual Property Centre in Ashton Library, offers information and support including: 

  • Workshops in Starting Up, Branding, Business Planning, Finance, Marketing and Customer Research 
  • Tailored 1:1 support from our Enterprise Officer 
  • Industry-quality information including: business to business mailing lists, customer surveys, supplier and industry data. 
  • “How-To” factsheets covering a huge range of business topics 
  • Intellectual Property (trademarks, logos, copyright, design rights and patents) 
  • Free networking opportunities and co-working space

Tameside Council Economy and Skills Team - Tameside Means Business

Tameside Council Economy and Skills Team works with Tameside businesses to give support and signpost a range of information and advice that can help start, build and fine tune your businesses. With everything from marketing, business planning, recruitment support and opportunities for networking and training staff they can help your business today, including: 

  • Networking opportunities and themed events to connect with local businesses, specialists and guest speakers  
  • Business Community Champions who can support with Finance, Green Agenda, Marketing and IT  
  • Building your workforce via Routes to Work, Youth Employment Support and Tameside in Work
