This Level 2 Award in caring for children and young people in the early years has been designed to give you the skills
you need to work with, and support, children, and young people in an educational setting. During your studies you will
cover a wide range of areas including young children’s development, the importance of play for early learning, craft
activities with young children, safeguarding the welfare of children and young people and respecting and valuing
children. You will also gain insight into how early years settings are structured and operate. By the time you have
