Who are GET Free Books Hyde? We are the Global Educational Trust, also known as GET Free Books and we really need your help. We have around 20 shops open around the UK, helping out our local communities by providing free books and we have one of our shops in Hyde. Our mission is to make reading free and available to all through our FREE Bookshops and by providing Free Books we help enhance people's lives through literacy, education and mental well being all through a few pages of a Free Book! Our shop is open Monday - Friday 10.30am - 4pm, Saturday 10.30am- 1pm

Welcoming customers into the shop.
Supporting literacy skills in children and young adults by encouraging
those who visit the shop and recommending books according to their
interests, also by working with local schools and colleges.
Dealing with customer queries.

What to do if we do not have a specific title.
Answering questions about the charity.
We do not sell books so there is no cash register but we do accept
donations of cash and donations via credit/debit card.
Shop Management
Display the books, restocking shelves as necessary.
Maintain displays of books, seasonal ( Christmas etc) and
Promotional (School books, Nature books etc.)
Ensure the books are in the correct section and properly shelved.
There may be possibilities of taking over the running of a part of the
shop such as the Reference Books/Non-Fiction section, being
responsible for the display and promotion of the books in that area.
Store Management
Process Book Donations, recording and dating all receipts.
Research any potentially valuable receipts i.e. 1st Editions
Sort by category of book and author, store alphabetically.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Help keep all areas of the shop and store clean.
Draw attention to areas requiring maintenance such as Trip hazards,
lights not working etc.
Off Site Activities
There may be the occasional chance to partake in off-site activities
such as the recent Hyde Mela family fun day when the shop ran a stall - Skill And Qualifications Required: you don't have to know about books as there are many other roles you can fill
