Volunteers wanted at Hyde Little Theatre

We are actively looking for volunteers to join our existing team at Hyde Little Theatre. We've been going since 1967, and are completely run by our fantastic volunteers. And while we're well-known for our high quality plays and pantomimes, we also have a range of community activities each week at our home, Studio 9, at the top of Market Street in Hyde. These range from our 100+ strong Youth Theatre for young people aged 4-18, to baby/tots groups, community lunches, meditation, Pilates, crafting sessions and a space for autistic young people. There's something for everyone, regardless of background or age. With such a busy schedule, we're keen to get more people involved to help support our activities, and help us continue our positive impact in the local community. So whether you have previous experience in the theatre or not, there's probably a role for you! We're looking for people to help us with: - Maintenance of the building and car park, including licencing, fire safety and more - Helping us write grant / funding bids - Supporting our productions in a range of ways e.g. costume, scenery or set design, production managing - Safeguarding our young people and others who we work with - Marketing and graphic design e.g. helping us promote plays and community events, supporting our social media activities, leafleting - Administration e.g. monitoring our emails, supporting the admin of our regular activities - Running our bar or working 'front of house', showing people to their seats and checking tickets, selling raffle tickets - Financial reporting - Helping us fundraise - Representing HLT at local events and fundraisers Whatever your skillset, there's bound to be a role for you!

About the host organisation

Hosted by: Hyde Little Theatre
Organisation Profile: Hyde Little Theatre (HLT), established in 1967, is a non-profit, amateur theatre organisation based in Hyde, Tameside in Greater Manchester. Each season we produce 3-4 plays and a traditional Christmas pantomime within our local (Hyde) and wider (Tameside) community. We have a fast-growing growing Youth Theatre group of over 100 children and young people aged 4-18, and we provide a range of community activities throughout the year, offering community members the chance to socialise, learn new skills and improve their mental and physical wellbeing. Over 300 people from all sections of our community come through Studio 9’s doors each week.
