The purpose of the Operational Volunteer role at Oldham Pride is to support the committee in creating a safe, inclusive, and vibrant space for the LGBTQ+ community in Oldham. This involves contributing to various aspects of the organisation's work, such as event planning, community outreach, administrative support, and online engagement. By taking on these responsibilities, Operational Volunteers play a crucial role in: Promoting visibility: Helping to make the LGBTQ+ community more visible and known within Oldham. Building community: Creating connections and relationships within the LGBTQ+ community and with other local organisations. Providing support: Offering resources and assistance to LGBTQ+ individuals who may be isolated or in need. Promoting empowerment: Contributing to a more inclusive and accepting society where everyone can live authentically.
