As an Operational Volunteer, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
Event Planning and Coordination
Assisting in the planning and execution of Pride events, including the annual Pride Parade, community gatherings, and workshops.
Coordinating with volunteers, vendors, and performers to ensure a smooth event.
Helping with event setup, breakdown, and cleanup.
Community Engagement
Participating in outreach activities to connect with the LGBTQ+ community and build relationships.
Helping to organize and facilitate community events and workshops.
Representing Oldham Pride at community meetings and events.
Administrative Support
Assisting with administrative tasks, such as data entry, filing, and correspondence.
Managing volunteer schedules and coordinating volunteer shifts.
Helping to maintain accurate records and documentation.
Online Presence
Contributing to the committee's online presence, including social media management and website updates.
Responding to inquiries and messages from the community.
These tasks will contribute to the overall success of Oldham Pride and help create a positive and welcoming environment for the LGBTQ+ community. - Training: All volunteers receive a 1-2 hour induction program.
