Pride Champion
As an Operational Volunteer, you'll play a vital role in supporting Oldham Pride Committee, a group committed to creating a safe and inclusive space for the LGBTQ+ community in Oldham. We strive to achieve this through:
Visibility: Being a central point of connection for the LGBTQ+ community during Pride Weekends and maintaining a year-round presence online and in real-world spaces.
Collaboration: Developing partnerships and collaboration with community groups, businesses, civic authorities, and charities.
Support: Providing support for isolated individuals within the LGBTQ+ community and connecting them with diverse resources available in the borough.
Empowerment: Contributing to a world where LGBTQ+ individuals can live authentically without fear of judgment or discrimination.
Our core values are inclusion, respect, and empowerment. Through your contributions, you'll help us achieve our vision and make a positive impact on the lives of LGBTQ+ people in Oldham.

Tasks the volunteer will be required to do:
Research potential sources for funding applications (training and support provided).
Assist in writing grant proposals.
Organise and record feedback received from program participants.
Help plan and coordinate events for Oldham Pride.
Training:
All volunteers receive a 1-2 hour induction program.
Role-specific training provided as needed.
Training in all required aspects for the specific volunteer role.
Ongoing support from Committee members (Secretary and Finance).
Areas of Interest: Community, Festivals, LGBT
