Activity Group Lead (Shaw, Failsworth, and other locations across Greater Manchester)

This is a flexible and rewarding role that will enable you to connect with and make a real and lasting difference to, the lives of older people who are experiencing social isolation or loneliness. In this role, the volunteer will help to run a gentle activity at the monthly group on a rota.

Tasks the volunteer will be required to do:

The volunteer will welcome older people to the group, encourage people during the activity, and spend time talking to everyone. You will be in contact with the group activity coordinator, who will support you in this role.

Training:

Online training is provided by Re-engage prior to commencing the role.

Skill and Qualifications Required:

Good engagement skills
A friendly nature
Good listening skills
Good conversation skills
Patience and understanding
A passion for improving the lives of lonely and isolated older people
Basic computer skills (our checks, training and activity group reports are all online and our charity is paperless)
