- Tasks: As a Service team volunteer, you might:
Support the local advocacy team as needed
Drop off promotional materials at various locations
Attend events or assist in organising small local events
Support staff with presentations
Accompany advocacy staff on visits
Support staff with group advocacy and self-advocacy workshops
Submit regular reporting forms - Training: We offer a range of e-learning including Safeguarding, Health and Safety and Lone Working.
In addition, we offer instructor led courses on Microsoft Teams specific to the role. - Skill And Qualifications Required: Volunteering with VoiceAbility is ideal for people who have or want experience in human rights, health, care and wellbeing - but we care more about your values and empathy than your level of experience.
You’ll develop skills in communication and confidentiality, add experience and knowledge to your CV, and know you’re making a genuine difference to people’s lives.
As a volunteer you’ll receive full training, support from the volunteer team and your local advocates, and out of pocket expenses.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, and email
Ability to manage own time and workload
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
