Ambitions is a constituted not for profit community organisation for adults with learning and physical disabilities based in Oldham and Tameside area.
We do a variety of activities such as Disco's, A Social Club and Trips out and about.
We are currently looking for Volunteers who have an interest in working with adults with learning and physical disabilities and would like to enhance their knowledge/understanding of this area
The role of our Volunteers may include participating/supporting our members in a variety of activities/keeping attendance/fire registers/ensuring the group is run smoothly.

- Availability: Monday AM, Monday PM, Tuesday PM, Thursday PM, Sunday AM, Sunday PM
- Tasks: We are very flexible and understand people have other commitments, we like our volunteers to participate in any activities they are available for and is more convenient for them.
• MONDAY at the Oldham Baptist Church social club (11am – 3pm)
• The Cotton Rooms, Oldham (Thursday 6pm – 9:30pm) disco
• The Cotton Rooms, Oldham (Sunday 12pm – 3pm) disco
• The Old Fire Station, Tameside (Tuesday 6pm – 9pm) disco
•OUT & ABOUT trips (Times may vary) dates agreed in advance
Skills
A good ability to listen. Have an empathy with adults who have learning and physical disabilities. Some organisational skills may be required - Training: No training is required; however, support will be given to help volunteers understand and carry out any aspect of the role as appropriate. (Free courses will be offered to help the volunteer in their role)
- Skill And Qualifications Required: No Qualifications are required but any Certificates/Qualifications/DBS checks were more than happy to take into account.
If you are age 16 or 17 year old, you are only eligible to volunteer during the daytime on our Sunday and Monday disco's. - Interests: Community, Disability, Event, Health and wellbeing, Public events
