Volunteers undertake a wide variety of tasks which enable us to provide safe and welcoming green spaces that everyone can enjoy. Many jobs are seasonal and there is something for everyone ranging from conservation, assisting at events, gardening, tree planting and dry-stone walling. There are opportunities to volunteer across Tameside throughout the year and we produce a conservation programme with details about the location and tasks planned for the month ahead.
We value our volunteers time so whether you can spare a few days a year or are looking for something more regular we have an opportunity for you.
All tools, equipment and training are provided. You will need to wear sturdy footwear and clothes that you don't mind getting muddy. Waterproofs and sun cream may be required. Our knowledgeable team will talk you through the tasks for the day and support you throughout. Travel and lunch expenses are provided.
