To work as part of a team to support the running of the contact centre and support parents and children. The contact centre provides a safe and neutral environment where children from separated families can spend time with a parent they no longer live with.

- Tasks: 1. As part of a team, prepare centre for arrival of families:
• Put out play equipment
• Prepare reception desk
• Prepare refreshment service area
• Prepare any paperwork for pre visits
2. As part of a team, undertake key tasks during contact sessions:
• Staff reception desk - record date and time of arrival and departure, statistic forms, Health and Safety forms, staff on duty and headcount forms, conduct resident parent and non- resident parent pre visits.
• Staff refreshment area
• Be aware of, and adhere to, the practices and policies adopted by the centre including safeguarding and data protection
• Be alert and vigilant regarding the behaviour of all persons in the centre during contact sessions
• Alert manager/ team leader to problems occurring at handover times and during contact session
• Facilitate handover of children between resident and contact parents if necessary
• Work with contact parent and child if contact is faltering due to either lack of familiarity between adult and child or knowledge of play methods
• Answer calls on centre mobile on a Saturday, and report if needed
3. As part of a team, restore centre to original condition after session:
• Properly file administration materials used throughout the session
• Send paperwork to the Manager, quarterly
• Clear away play equipment
• Restore refreshment area to pre-use condition - Training: Safeguarding and Child Protection
