What is a Local Plan?
The Local Plan is an important document which guides planning and development including how and where things are built and how planning applications are decided. We’re preparing a new Local Plan and want you to help us develop it by telling us what matters most to you when it comes to the future development of your town. The Local Plan will help to set the rules with which new homes and industrial buildings have to comply, and establish where they can be built. It will boost health and wellbeing for our residents, support investment in our centres and make the most of the assets that make Oldham unique.
