We are delighted to be advertising an exciting new role at MASH! We are looking for an Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA) to join the team at MASH and provide support to women.

The role:

To work with other members of the MASH team to achieve the following outcomes for women who sex work:

  • To improve women’s health.
  • To improve women’s well being.
  • To empower women to make choices.
  • To increase women’s safety.
  • To influence policy and practice changes in other agencies working with our clients group.
  • To influence a more positive view in society of our clients.

Using a gender and trauma-informed approach, the ISVA will  work within a multi-agency setting to provide a proactive service to adult victims of sexual violence within and outside the criminal justice system to:

  • Risk assess and help keep clients safe.
  • Help clients access their rights.
  • Monitor and keep client informed of case progress provide support through the criminal justice system.
  • Help client’s access health and other services they require.

Contract: Fixed Term

Hours: 35 hours

Salary: £31,587 per annum

Location: Manchester
