Aims/Priorities: This fund aims to support projects that will help increase early cancer diagnosis rates in communities that are at higher risk of a later-stage diagnosis.
In Round Three, funding is for projects that will test practical interventions that may help improve early diagnosis rates as well as continue to learn about the barriers and challenges communities face when it comes to early diagnosis and accessing timely and appropriate healthcare.
Who can apply? To apply, groups must:
- Be a registered charity, CIC, or other social enterprise operating in Greater Manchester for the benefit of Greater Manchester residents.
- Have a turnover of between £100,000 and £3 million.
- Have a bank account requiring two signatories in the name of the organisation.
Applicants must have the following policies in place:
- Health and safety policy.
- Equality/diversity statement or policy.
- Volunteer policy.
- Public liability insurance.
- Risk assessments.
- Safeguarding adults policy (if applicable).
- Safeguarding children policy (if applicable).
Grant Amount: Grants of up to £25,000 are available.
Application Process: There is a multi-stage application process:
- Groups must first submit an Expression of Interest (EOI). The next deadline to submit an Expression of Interest is 24 October 2024 (midday).
- Shortlisted applicants will then be invited to complete a full application. The deadline to submit a full application is 29 November 2024 (midday).
An online Meet the Funder session will take place on 11 October 2024 (15:00 - 16:00).
