    The Hospice’s specialist Dementia team is dedicated to supporting individuals living with advanced dementia through holistic, person-centred care. Their goal is to support patients in the last 12 months of their life, to manage their symptoms effectively and live well, and to receive specialist care and support at the end of their life.

    We provide specialist palliative care for adult patients with life limiting illnesses, both cancer and non cancer diagnosis. Our care is free of charge; with patients, families and their carers at the heart of everything we do. Care provided, whether it be physical, psychological, social or spiritual, also extends to families, carers and partners across the whole of Tameside and Glossop. We offer a a number of services including an Inpatient Unit, a Day Hospice, through to Dementia Support and Bereavement Counselling. Each patient has an individual care plan, tailored to suit their needs. Our aim is to help everyone who passes through our doors attain the best quality of life.
