    About the host organisation

    Hosted by: Tameside Malayali Association
    Organisation Profile:

The Tameside Malayali Association (TMA) is a non-profit community organization that represents individuals from Kerala, India, residing in Tameside. Established on 18th September 2023, TMA is the first of its kind in our region. Our primary objective is to preserve and celebrate Malayali culture and traditions while fostering integration with the broader British community, all while honoring our values and identity.
Our association operates under the principle of inclusivity, welcoming migrant Keralites without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, nationality, race, or political and religious beliefs. We aim to collaborate with statutory authorities, voluntary organizations, and other entities to enhance the social welfare of Malayali inhabitants in Tameside.
Throughout the year, TMA organizes a diverse range of cultural programs and activities aimed at engaging our members and the broader community. Notably, we recently celebrated Buon Natale 2K24 (Christmas - New Year program) on the 5th of January 2024 at the Dukinfield Townhall, which was inaugurated by Councilor Tafheen Sharif. This event brought together members of our community and showcased the vibrancy of Malayali culture.
