We aim to provide a safe, non-threatening and flexible environment for people to develop their confidence, self-esteem, communication skills and friendship network; where they cab offer and receive support and share information. Main beneficiaries are seen primarily as people who experience social isolation; including those who have experienced mental and emotional distress. But, it is open to all who are disadvantaged through lack of confidence, self-esteem, knowledge, communication skills and / or friendships and who feel that they would benefit from being a member of the group. We meet weekly on Mondays - 10:30am to1pm in the church hall of the United Church, Union Street, Hyde. As a social group it is open to all, with the aim to provide a safe place for people to come, meet and spend time together.
