Oldham Poverty Action Network meeting
We are delighted to invite you to our OPAN Network ‘Review & Refocus’ meeting.
Whether you have been involved in this work previously or are hearing about OPAN for the first time, we would love you to be involved and join us at this meeting on Wednesday 9th October 2024, 10:30-12:30pm at HACK, Yorkshire Street, Oldham, OL1 1SE.
OPAN is about collaborating across sectors and communities in Oldham to learn how to achieve our vision of: Strengthening community spirit, aligning efforts to tackle poverty, and creating good jobs and social enterprise.
The aims of OPAN are to:
- Build relationships and trust between local people and civic leaders that increase understanding of poverty
- Prompt changes in policy and practice within organisations
- Provide a positive example of co-production that Oldham can reference
- Develop new skills for all participants which can be applied to other programmes
- Maximise on the Local Motion investment by putting forward collaborative actions
The meeting agenda will include the opportunity to hear about the ongoing work streams within OPAN and the outcomes achieved so far, the opportunity to review and reflect on what has worked and what we can improve on as part of the previous learnings from our 'task and finish' groups. Finally the opportunity to creatively share new ideas, opportunities for action and collaboration as a collective network.
