Taking Teaching Further Programme

Aims/priorities: Round five will run until July 2024 and will continue to offer FE providers support with the funding towards new recruits undertaking a Level 5 teaching qualification, receiving intensive support such as paired teaching, mentoring or work shadowing, as well as a reduced teaching workload in the first year of teaching.

Scops Arts Trust

Aims/priorities: The aim of the Trust is to give people of all ages a better quality of life by enabling them to understand, participate in and enjoy the arts, particularly the performing arts (music, drama, opera and dance).

Who can apply? The Trust mostly supports registered charities. Applications will also be considered from social enterprises, community groups, and other third sector organisations, as long as they are formally constituted and have clear charitable purposes. Priority will be given to small and medium sized organisations.

Grow Wild Funding for Young People

Aims/priorities: Grow Wild is offering grants of up to £500 to young people aged 14-25 to deliver creative projects that celebrate and share why UK native plants and/or fungi are so special.

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Have a great project idea.
  • Find a supporting organisation, such as a school, university, youth club or a local community group, to help them deliver the project.

Royal London Changemakers Programme for UK Social Entrepreneurs

Aims/priorities: Through the Changemakers programme Royal London provides funding and support to social entrepreneurs to create, develop and invest in bold ideas and sustainable solutions.

In 2022 the programme is targeting its support to social ventures which:

  • Help people build financial resilience.
  • Help people engage in the societal impact of the move to net zero.

Who can apply? Applications will be accepted from social entrepreneurs based in the United Kingdom.

Every two years, the Ethical Property Foundation runs the Charity Property Matters Survey, asking voluntary organisations across England and Wales about their property issues.

This is becoming increasingly valuable research providing the voluntary sector, policymakers, landlords, grant funders and social lenders with a clear understanding of the challenges and opportunities voluntary organisations face.

The pandemic has raised new questions about the suitability of property for a voluntary organisation’s needs, with some asking do we need a property at all?

Free summer camp opportunity for young people

Applications are now open for Action for Conservation's free Summer Camps.

Action for Conservation are trying to reach as many young people as possible who might be interested in this adventure of a lifetime.

Action for Conservation are looking for young people, aged 12-16, who are based in England and Wales, to join them on their residential Summer Camps in three of the UK's most amazing national parks this July and August 2022.

Kooth Service Update

Kooth is commissioned by the NHS, Local Authorities, charities and businesses to provide anonymous and personalised mental health support for Children and Young People. They provide end to end support whatever the need.

Kooth service is being expanded to support the ages of 10-25 across Greater Manchester, and their counterpart adult service Qwell is going live for ages 26+.

Youth Music Trailblazer Fund

Aims/priorities: The purpose of the Youth Music Trailblazer Fund is to provide support for organisations delivering projects that help children and young people facing barriers to make, learn or earn in music. The fund is designed to support organisations who want to trial work for the first time, test a new way of working, or disrupt the status quo.
