Funding for Churches and Christian Charities to Support Mental Health Across UK and Ireland

Aims/priorities: Benefact Trust (formerly known as Allchurches Trust) is offering grants to Christian charities and organisations throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland to provide increased mental health support for people and communities in need regardless of faith.

The Brighter Lives Mental Health Programme will enable Christian churches, cathedrals, denominational bodies, and charities to respond to the mental health crisis exacerbated by COVID-19 through greater training, resources, and support.

MATRIX CAUSES FUND

Aims/priorities: Funding is intended to promote access to justice (particularly for people trying to get support for their basic needs), equality of opportunity or a sustainable environment. 

The funders are particularly interested in hearing from applicants working with vulnerable groups, including prisoners, asylum seekers, people with disabilities and women in refuges.

Veterans' Foundation

Aims/priorities: With funding from the Veterans’ Lottery, the Veterans’ Foundation aims to help charities and other not-for-profit organisations in Great Britain to support serving and former members of the British Armed Forces who may be facing challenging circumstances.

Aims/prorities: The Road Safety Trust is an independent charitable trust dedicated to supporting projects and research aimed at making roads across the UK safer for all road users.

Objectives of Fund

The overall aims of the Road Safety Trust are to reduce death and injury on the UK roads through providing independent funding for research and the development of innovative approaches.

BBC Children in Need’s We Move: Youth Social Action Fund

Aims/priorities: As part of its Sharing Power (Youth Social Action) Programme, BBC Children in Need has announced a £1 million funding pot focused on reaching Black children and young people with social action opportunities. Youth social action describes the activities that children and young people do to make a positive difference, drive change in their communities, and in the world around them.

Arnold Clark Community Fund Reopens for Spring 2022 Round

Aims/priorities: In March 2020, Arnold Clark launched its first ever Community Fund to offer charitable organisations financial support in the wake of the COVID-19 crisis. Following its most recent Winter Edition, the Fund has now reopened, with broader eligibility criteria to support a wide range of organisations.

The fund aims to help UK charities and local community groups continue their important work which may be at risk due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Future You

‘Future You’ is a free mentoring programme, delivered on behalf of Greater Manchester Combined Authority via funded by the European Social Fund. The programme is for 18-24 year olds who are classed as NEET (not in Education, Employment or Training). The young people are given a dedicated mentor who works with them 1:1 once a week for up to nine months, with a view to eventually progressing them into a job, apprenticeship, course, traineeship etc.
