Free Driving seminar for over 60's

Safer Roads Greater Manchester is pleased to announce their first FREE Safer Driver Seminar aimed at drivers aged 60+.

Older people are becoming increasingly over represented in casualty statistics as drivers’, passengers and pedestrians. The seminar is an opportunity for attendees to listen to presentations on a series of road safety and wellbeing related topics from various organisations such as Greater Manchester Police, National Highways, TfGM, Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service and many more.

VCSE Health and Wellbeing Fund 2022 to 2025: women’s reproductive wellbeing in the workplace

Aims/priorities: The theme of the 2022 to 2025 fund is women’s reproductive wellbeing in the workplace.This fund aims to support VCSE organisations who can provide a holistic support offer to assist women experiencing reproductive health issues (for example, menopause, fertility problems, miscarriage and pregnancy loss, menstrual health and gynaecological conditions) to remain in and return to the workplace. The fund aims to align with the Women’s Health Strategy aims for health in the workplace:

Rosa - Stand With Us Fund

Aims/priorities: Originally set up by Reclaim These Streets as part of a wider movement encouraging thousands to speak out against male violence, Rosa has now opened its Stand With Us Fund, which will see grants of up to £25,000 given to organisations against gender-based violence in the UK.

Money Saving Expert (MSE) Charity

Aims/priorities: The Money Saving Expert (MSE) Charity was established as a registered charity in October 2007. The Charity is designed to try and break the cycle of debt. The Charity aims to fight financial and consumer illiteracy and is dedicated to educating and informing adults and children about consumer and debt issues.

There are two rounds per year. Four themes rotate through a two year cycle.

Community Radio Fund

Aims/priorities: Ofcom is offering grants for licensed community radio stations in the UK, broadcasting on AM, FM, or by a Community Digital Sound Programme (C-DSP) licence on a digital radio multiplex.

The Community Radio Fund, provided by the Department of Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS), can be used to support the core costs of running Ofcom-licensed community radio stations, including:

Energy Redress Scheme

Aims/priorities: The priority of the scheme is to:

  • Support energy consumers in vulnerable situations.
  • Deliver benefits to the types of consumers that were negatively impacted by the specific issues that triggered the redress payment.

In addition to this core priority, up to 15% of Energy Redress funds can support the development of innovative products and services related to energy. Innovation projects must:

Barclays Community Football Fund

Aims/priorities: Sported have partnered with Barclays to launch the new Barclays Community Football Fund, offering small grants, training, kit and exclusive ticketing offers to make football more accessible in communities across the UK. 

Barclays believe in creating opportunities for all through access to football. Through the Barclays Community Football Fund, we want to grow participation in football t every level.
