Aims/priorities: Round five will run until July 2024 and will continue to offer FE providers support with the funding towards new recruits undertaking a Level 5 teaching qualification, receiving intensive support such as paired teaching, mentoring or work shadowing, as well as a reduced teaching workload in the first year of teaching.
For this round, the programme has been expanded beyond the 15 technical routes to include a ‘core skills’ element, which aims to support the recruitment of business and industry experts to teach English, maths or SEND to Technical subject students.
Who can apply?
Route 1 of the programme is open to all FE Colleges and Sixth Form Colleges in England.
Route 2 of the programme is open to all independent training providers, employer led providers, third sector training providers, local authority providers, and adult and community learning providers.
Grant amount: £18,200 per recruit
