Aims/priorities: The aim of the Fund is to support organisations dealing with the impact of the coronavirus/COVID-19 crisis to develop the digital, data and design capabilities that allow them to address urgent issues and serve the most vulnerable. There are two funding streams available:
Discovery Programme
Aims/priorities: Local and national charities in England and Wales can apply to the Later Life Inclusions grants programme run by the Masonic Charitable Foundation. The Later Life Inclusion grants programme is open to charities working to reduce loneliness and isolation of vulnerable and disadvantaged people over 50.
Grants can be offered to charities that provide:
Aims/priorities: Grants are available for not-for-profit theatres in the UK for capital improvement projects on a specific theme each year. The theme for the 2020 fund is Improving Environmental Sustainability. Funding will be given to projects that demonstrate how a small intervention can have a big impact on reducing the theatre's environmental impact. Examples of eligible projects might be:
Aims/Priorities: The Phoenix Fund aims to put racial justice at the heart of COVID-19 pandemic response. The initiative will support a network of Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic charities and groups in England that are working in the heart of their communities, providing essential and emergency services, support, and education tailored to the BAME community.
THE INITIATIVE AIMS TO:
Aims/priorities: The COVID-19 Response Fund aims to help charities in the UK and abroad to alleviate social deprivation, helping vulnerable people affected by the coronavirus pandemic. Applications for medical equipment and the production or distribution of PPE will also be considered.
Who can apply? Registered charities, community interest companies, community organisations and social enterprises based and working in the UK (or abroad) may apply.
Grant amount: Funding is at the discretion of the Trustees.
Aims/priorities: The funding will support a project or running costs for a charity that equips people (aged 11 and over) with the skills ready for employment. The funding is intended to support people with an emphasis on building confidence, knowledge and skills, and therefore increasing prospects of employment within the UK. Priority will be given to:
Aims/priorities: The funding for this scheme comes from the Paul Hamlyn Foundation. The fund is administered by Do It Now Now, an open innovation organisation driven by the desire to bring social empowerment to Black Communities across the globe.
Grants are available to support Black-led social enterprises and charities in the UK, so they are able to survive and thrive, even during the coronavirus/COVID-19 crisis.
The fund aims to help its grantees:
Aims/priorities: The Postcode Community Trust has announced that the next funding round will open for applications on the 4th August 2020. The Trust was established in 2014 to support marginalised groups in obtaining the skills and resources to make positive changes within their own communities. Grants of £500 - £20,000 are available to registered charities for projects that benefit communities through:
Aims/priorities: Grants are available for cultural and heritage organisations in England that were financially stable before the coronavirus/COVID-19 crisis but are now at imminent risk of failure. The programme will support organisations across the heritage ecosystem to ensure that by 31 March 2021, successful applicants can reopen or, if reopening under social distancing is not permissible or does not represent a value for money approach, to operate on a sustainable and cost-efficient basis so that they are able to reopen at a later date.
