Supporting the local community by providing a space for people to meet and chat. Activities the volunteer can do will depend on what they want to do. Meet and greet, help organise the tables and chairs, and if people are willing to cook, even better!

Tasks the volunteer will be required to do: Our friendship centre has run for 10 years on Thursdays. At present we sell cheap and nutricious home-made meals in addition to providing a place for people to come and chat in a safe space. We have lost some of our volunteers over the years and the imminent retirement of two more will make it impossible for us to run the centre. If we cannot recruit at least two more volunteeres the centre will have to close on Thursday July 25th,
We have no specific requitements for our volunteers. Given the nature of the role we are ideally seeking someone who can be committed to serving on Thursdays for at least 42 weeks per year (our holiday patttern is slightly flexible).
At present the volunteers arrive at about 10 and leave at about 2.30. What we provide will depend on the skills of the volunteer team.
Training: We will not provide any training
