Mission statement Our mission is to work with veterans of all backgrounds, including but not limited to those facing housing insecurity, ex-offenders, chronically unemployed individuals and those living on low incomes to secure holistic pathways into steady work in the logistics sector. This is crucial work given the ongoing skills gap in the logistics sector and understand that our work combats this whilst assisting a vulnerable community and their families transition into a meaningful and stable life.

Tasks the volunteer will be required to do:

• The Purpose of the Fundraising, Marketing & Communications team is to provide all veterans with fulfilling civilian careers.
• The Vision of the Fundraising, Marketing & Communications team is to be the engine that drives our ability to offer support to every UK Armed Forces Service Leaver and Veteran looking to a new civilian career.
• The Mission of the Fundraising, Marketing & Communications team is to drive visibility and relevance amongst veterans and those who care about the wellbeing of all who have Served.

This volunteer role will support delivery of the new Marketing & Communications Strategy – driving awareness, driving engagement, defining and owning the charity’s brand and enhancing income generation in collaboration with the Head of Fundraising & Marketing to ensure we can support the whole charity, as we develop and enhance opportunities for veterans nationally.
Your Responsibilities
• Create and deliver digital content to enhance our presence, reach and engagement, across our social media channels and website.
• Co-create and deliver fundraising and awareness campaigns.
• Support delivery of our new monthly digital newsletter.
Your Skills
• Experience of creating and delivering digital content across social media platforms.
• Ability to write
• Knowledge of WordPress would be advantageous though is not essential.
• Basic graphic design skills using Photoshop would be advantageous to create appealing content.
• Excellent copy-writing skills.
• Collaborative team player

Requirements: Willing to travel by public transport or find own way to volunteering location
Areas of Interest: Community, IT, Media, Mental Health, Veterans and Armed Forces

We do this through providing training to obtain an HGV licence and support individuals into paid employment through our unique holistic pathway with respected logistic partners including Asda, Muller and Stobarts.
