The Future Communities Fund new funding webinar Wednesday 23 November

Aims/priorities: They recently launched a new five-year strategy, called ‘Building communities of the future together’. This outlines their plan to pioneer a more co-operative way of funding organisations so they can help create future, fair communities.

They worked with young people directly to develop this strategy and a Future Communities Vision that will shape how we can make a difference.

CLA Charitable Trust

Aims/priorities: Grants are available for organisations in England and Wales to provide facilities for the disabled to take part in country sports and recreation, and training in agriculture and horticulture. The Trust also promotes education in the countryside for disadvantaged children and young people. 

The funding is intended to support projects that focus on the Trust's three main aims:

Charities Aid Foundation - Keystone Fund

Aims/priorities: Unrestricted grants are available to small charities across the UK to enable them to adapt ways of working, strengthen capacity and build resilience so that they can better serve their beneficiaries in light of increased pressures and demand. 

Funding is intended to support charitable organisations to:

Greater Manchester Culture Fund

Aims/priorities: The Greater Manchester Culture Fund supports cultural organisations that are committed to providing excellent cultural experiences and opportunities, and to helping to ensure the city-region remains world famous for its cultural offer. A new investment approach, designed to better support the cultural sector through challenging economic times and to widen and diversify access to culture for all residents, was recently agreed by Greater Manchester’s leaders. The fund supports delivery of the city-region’s culture strategy 

Youth Justice Sport Fund

Aims/priorities: This new fund is being provided by the Ministry of Justice and delivered by the Sport for Development Coalition, led by StreetGames and Alliance of Sport in Criminal Justice.

Funding is intended to meet the following two key goals:

A Just Transition: a green week of action

A Just Transition: A Greener and Fairer Greater Manchester. A week to showcase how the VCSE sector is enabling a greener and more inclusive economy.

GMCVO, in partnership with the GM VCSE Leadership Group is holding a week of action from 7th to 13th November to showcase the work of the VCSE sector in support of the environment, sustainability and Just Transition.

The week is packed with opportunities to learn more about environmental issues, how to become more environmentally friendly and how to support people and communities to make the economy fairer while contributing to the green agenda.

Peer Support Forum-Greater Manchester

Join the Independent Mental Health Network (IMHN) Peer Support Forum for peer support facilitators – Come together to discuss challenges and best practice.

A safe space to discuss any thoughts and experiences of running peer support, and for peer support facilitators to develop their own community.

We will discuss the challenges faced, as well as hopes and vision for peer support.

Aims/priorities: Grants are available to registered charities for projects which support vulnerable beneficiaries and build community resilience across the UK. 

Funding is intended to support the delivery of projects in the following areas:

  • Employability.
  • Disaster avoidance and relief.
  • Social mobility.
  • Mental health.
  • Climate.
