Bike Library Grant Scheme - Greater Manchester

Aims/priorities: The funding is intended for local not-for-profit organisations based or working in Greater Manchester to set up a bike library in which bikes are loaned out to members of the community for free.

A bike library is a location where people can go to borrow a bike for free. The libraries will typically be located within the heart of the community so that everyone can reach it easily. They could, for example, be community centres, schools, village halls or local business premises. The idea of this scheme is to create a sustainable model where bikes are donated, fixed up and utilised for the benefit of community members.
