The Together Centre

Ending it Together!

Tameside wide beneficiaries also attend their Centre to access our Food Bank, Uniform Pantry, Craft Sessions, Wellbeing Walk, Domestic Violence Workshops and much more, all of which will be invited to come along and take part in the consultation. The morning will begin with a short presentation to raise awareness of hate crime, concluding with 2 group exercises where they will feel supported to encourage others; victims, family members and friends, to report hate crimes to either the Police or The Together Centre Lead Volunteer Contact.

The Community Consultation will finish with a two lunch for the above participants and an activity session, to increase engagement and participation for the Consultation, where a handout pack will also be provided to take home.

The women attending share the interest in their community and some have children attending thelocal schools. Ensemble Theatre inclusive arts are networking with other women's groups inTameside and Oldham to bring women together to celebrate inspirational women, cultures and diversity. Group workshops have looked at health and wellbeing, community safe shared spaces, employment, education and training. Hate crime and isolation was a topic that we discussed and members of the group hope to develop as a future project plan

Infinity Initiatives CIC

Let’s Celebrate Diversity

This group  would like to hold a week of activities which both raise awareness and tackle hate crime to benefit both the potential victims and local organisations within the Tameside area. They will deliver projects day to day supporting those who been a victim of hate crime or who have witnessed us and this does not reflect the current reporting statistics. They believe many do not know why or how re reporting, have previously and not felt listened to or supported or are scared to for fear of subsequent and worse consequences.

Denton West End Community Library

Be Kind

Building on the success of previous coffee mornings on the subject of ‘Let’s end hate crime’, we would like to hold another similar event. This time, we intend to work with two Boards and a Passion Theatre Company who will perform a show themed on inclusion and kindness, aimed at children and their families. They recently delivered a theatrical storytelling show which was really popular and created a lot of engagement. It was great to offer something a bit different and work with/build relationships with external community artists too. We have included an amount to buy additional resources specifically about inclusivity and kindness. As a community run library, it is extremely beneficial to build our collections on this topic.
