Hilden Charitable Fund: Summer Play Schemes

Aims/priorities: Hilden Charitable Fund is partnering with Social Farms & Gardens in 2021 to provide small grants for SF&G members to provide children’s summer activities. SF&G is particularly interested in funding activities that will connect children from disadvantaged backgrounds with nature. The fund is only available to members of Social Farms & Gardens - to become a member click here.The Hilden Charitable Fund’s Summer Play Scheme makes small grants to help community groups run summer play schemes for disadvantaged communities. Projects must be:

  • for children aged between five-18 years;
  • between two to six weeks long;
  • locally-based within the UK;
  • heavily reliant on volunteer support; and
  • under £12,000 in total cost.

Some priority will be given to projects which show they are inclusive of children from refugee families, and show BAME involvement.

Who can apply? Not for profit organisations that are members of Social Farms & Gardens.

Grant amount: Up to £1,500.
