CYPF Safe Zones Practitioner

The Role and Department:

We have an opportunity for a Children, Young People and Families Practitioner to join the organisation on a permanent basis. Reporting to one of our Children, Young People and Families Project Managers, you will be responsible for providing timely, responsive, short term therapeutic support to children and young people aged 0-17 who are experiencing self-defined crisis or have recently accessed other parts of Greater Manchester’s Crisis Care Services.

You will be a pivotal role in strengthening the relationship between VCSE organisations and NHS pathways, working with partners to accept referrals into Safe Zones. You will be providing holistic assessments, de-escalation and prevention of further crisis experience, therapeutic interventions and support for the young person’s wider support network. You will work within a trauma informed, person centred approach, ensuring the child or young person’s needs are always at the centre of decision making
