Cost of Living Crisis Greater Manchester Funding Programme 2024-2025

Aims/priorities: Provided by the Eric Wright Charitable Trust, this funding will support the existing activities of medium-sized VCSE organisations in Greater Manchester. We want to help sustain organisations that support vulnerable communities of people that are struggling to cope with the worst of the cost of living crisis.

To be eligible, applicant organisations must:

  • Have an annual turnover between £50,000 and £250,000 (important – if your application is successful, we will need to confirm your turnover is eligible by checking your most recent annual accounts or equivalent info – if you have any uncertainty about this, email grants@macc.org.uk before submitting an application)
  • Be based and operating in one of the ten localities of Greater Manchester (grants can only be used within single areas of Greater Manchester and not across localities)
  • Presently deliver support activities within a specified locality to people who are most affected by social inequality and the cost of living crisis

New project activities are not required; this funding aims to help support the existing costs of anti-poverty organisations that are themselves finding it tough to keep operating. Any typical organisation costs can be included in your grant application, e.g. salaries, staff expenses, overheads, consumables, equipment, administration, training, communications, etc.

Does your organisation regularly support people most affected by social inequalities who are struggling to cope with the worst of the cost of living crisis?

Who can apply? Are you a voluntary, community or social enterprise (VCSE) organisation with an annual income between £50,000 and £250,000 and based and working in one of the ten localities of Greater Manchester?

Grant amount: £5000 grants available across the ten localities.
