Apart Not Alone: Support for Serving Families Programme 2024-25

Aims/priorities: The funding is for not-for-profit projects that will help to mitigate the impact of long or frequent involuntary separation for families, spouses, and serving personnel, including reservists and their families.

Projects will need to address one or more of the following outcomes:

  • Reduced impact of separation, loneliness, and isolation for Serving families.
  • Improved mental health and well being for Service families.
  • Enhanced access to support and activities to improve quality of life.
  • Support personnel to reintegrate into family and units post deployment.

Who can apply? Applicants must be one of the following:

  • A charity registered with one or more of the charity commissions for England and Wales, Scotland, or Northern Ireland for at least one year at the time of their application and able to provide published accounts for the full year if requested.
  • A Community Interest Company (CIC) with substantial recent experience of supporting  Armed Forces communities and have been registered as a CIC for more than one year at the time of their application
  • An Armed Forces unit/base based in the UK.

Grant amount: Between £5,000 and £15,000 are available for a project being delivered over a period of up to 12 months.
