Our Women's Services Network is a space for all those interested in improving the life experiences of Rochdale women.
Our priorities focus on Violence against Women and Girls (VAWG), with a sub-group focused on women's health. The current priorities around VAWG include:
- Working together to support the VAWG (violence against women and girls) agenda
- Co-producing women’s health initiatives
- Support Women’s Leadership and development opportunities for women and girls
The new group, focused on women's health, is for all those interested in supporting, through action, the priorities of the Women’s Health Strategy published in 2021. These priorities include:
- Menstrual health and gynaecological conditions
- Fertility, pregnancy, pregnancy loss and postnatal support
- Menopause
- Mental health and wellbeing
Our quarterly meetings welcome voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise organisations, partners and activists working to support people and communities around women’s priorities across Rochdale.

Summary of our May Network Meeting:
At the start of May we held our quarterly network at The Lighthouse in Middleton. Our session centred around the current VAWG (Violence Against Women and Girls) systems and provisions in Rochdale, and how we could potentially shift the mindset around this.
