Action Together are looking for Volunteer Drivers to support our long-established Tameside community transport scheme, Miles of Smiles.
Miles of Smiles provides a valuable and popular service to vulnerable and isolated members of the Tameside community who would otherwise struggle to attend health appointments or to access other health related services in the community.
Volunteer Drivers use their own cars to take people to and from health and wellbeing appointments. They provide a friendly and supportive service to our members and ensure they arrive safely, offering support to find the right building and other assistance where necessary.
We also have our own Miles of Smiles car available for Volunteer Drivers who don't have their own cars.
