The Royal British Legion is going through the most exciting time in its 92 year history as we launch a range of new volunteer roles to better meet our beneficiaries' needs. In this role, you'd be supporting your local Area team of staff and fellow volunteers, at our brand new Advice and Information centre, in giving information to beneficiaries and members of the public. There will be ongoing day to day support from the Area Team. You can expect an induction, role-specific training and ongoing support. You will of course be reimbursed for all reasonable expenses. Volunteering with the Legion gives you the opportunity to develop and learn new skills, enhance your CV, make new friends and have an enjoyable and rewarding experience at the same time. You'll gain experience of how a large, successful international charity works, You'll also meet hugely inspiring supporters, other volunteers and Armed Forces heroes and will help to make a lasting difference to people's lives. Please provide details of any skills/qualifications that may be needed to participate in this opportunity or which could be developed through this opportunity: As an Information Volunteer, you will provide information to individuals eligible for Legion assistance to help them to access the right support in a timely and seamless way in areas such as finance, employment, health or housing advice or overcoming temporary crises. For this role we are looking for someone who is committed to our mission and values, enjoys meeting people and has good interpersonal skills.
