North Tameside Scouts Appointments (Warrant) Secretary

The role is to look after records of Leaders and Supporters in Scouting on the Scout Compass computer system online, and can be carried out at home as is an admin role. This role would be suitable for an older person or someone who is mainly house bound.

Tasks the volunteer will be required to do:

The tasks are issuing applications and reference forms to new Leaders and carrying out DBS checks (was Criminal Record Check). Collecting the forms back and updating the appointment chair of any outstanding forms, renewals or nearly expired forms. These forms are nearly all done online.

Skill and Qualifications Required:

No qualifications are needed other than basic skills in computing, a computer and internet access plus a DBS would have to be obtained by Scouts.
