Aims/priorities:
The Storytellers Fund was launched in 2023 to support those aiming to inspire change to share their content more widely and reach new audiences. The goal is to support the spread of stories that diversify the pool of storytellers and content creators who are shaping the conversations around our politics and culture. The aim is to promote transformative narratives and help build a better future for all.
Who can apply:
Applications can be submitted by:
- An individual
- A collective/group (un-incorporated / no legal form)
- Incorporated charity or company (a legal form including charities, CLGs, CICs, CBSs etc)
To be eligible, applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
- Applicants, their organisation and the delivery of their work must be based in the UK, though the subject of their work may be outside the UK
- Their project must be aligned with JRF’s values and focus on social change. See the JRF website for more information.
- Funding is for the dissemination and distribution of content already developed.
Grant amount:
One-off grants of between £3,000 and £50,000 (including VAT, if applicable) are available.
Grants will be split into:
- 90% upfront costs
- 10% being issued towards the end of the project to support the delivery of a learning and reflection piece which JRF should receive within 4-6 weeks of the project closure
