The Equality Impact Investing project, supported by a number of social investors, is calling on equality organisations to complete a 10 minute tick box survey. The survey explores the impact you have and the kind of investment and support you need to deliver it. It’s simple to complete and you don’t need to be familiar with social investment.

For years equality organisations have been arguing that much more recognition and support for their work is needed from funders and investors. Now, with support from the Connect Fund and various partners, the project is exploring the unique and vital contribution of the equality sector and whether their needs differ from the other VCSE organisations. They are seeking data from across the UK to provide investors and policy-makers with a breakdown of local specifics so social investment can be developed and delivered accordingly.

This is the first survey for decades that actively seeks to capture hard data on the nature and needs of the equality sector as a whole. It is not an academic exercise and in the short term will directly inform some pilot equality investment programmes, and in the longer term, overall funder policy and practice. For more information please contactOwen.Dowsett@dartington.org. The deadline for survey responses is Friday 12 October.
