Great Big Green Week – Children and Young People Climate Fund

Aims/priorities:

The Children and Young People Climate Fund is provided and administered by Save the Children in partnership with the Climate Coalition.

This fund aims to support activities and events taking place as part of the Great Big Green Week 2023 that work with and engage young people and children to raise awareness of the impacts of the climate crisis and its effects on children and young people.

Who can apply?

The following can apply:

  • Voluntary and community organisations (including unregistered charities).
  • Registered charities.
  • Not-for-profit companies, social enterprises, and community interest companies.
  • Schools.
  • Statutory bodies (including local authorities and town, parish, and community councils).
  • Community benefit societies.

Applications from, or in partnership with, children under 18 and young people are strongly encouraged.

Applications that engage a diverse range of young people and families, including those from underserved communities are encouraged, particularly from groups that work with or support children and young people who:

  • Are from families on low incomes.
  • Have migrated to the UK.
  • Are from racialised communities.
  • Have experience in the care system.
  • Are LGBT+ or from an LGBT+ family.
  • Are disabled or live with someone who is disabled.

Grant Amount: Grants of between £300 and £800 are available.

Deadline: The deadline for applications is 13 April 2023. Successful applicants will be informed by 3 May 2023.
