• Specialist Palliative and End of Life Care

    Care is provided for those with complex symptoms or a life limiting illness where a cure is not possible. The hospice team work with patients to treat pain and control other symptoms to ensure the best quality of life for patients and their loved ones. As a patient approaches the end of their life, the clinical team are committed to providing the highest standard of care to allow the patient to have a good death.

    We provide specialist palliative care for adult patients with life limiting illnesses, both cancer and non cancer diagnosis. Our care is free of charge; with patients, families and their carers at the heart of everything we do. Care provided, whether it be physical, psychological, social or spiritual, also extends to families, carers and partners across the whole of Tameside and Glossop. We offer a a number of services including an Inpatient Unit, a Day Hospice, through to Dementia Support and Bereavement Counselling. Each patient has an individual care plan, tailored to suit their needs. Our aim is to help everyone who passes through our doors attain the best quality of life.
