• Best Foot Forward (10 week programme)

Best Foot Forward is for people aged over 50 who have had a fall, have a fear of falling or may be at risk of falling and for people who would like to improve their strength and balance and remain active. The programme runs for 10 weeks and transport is included. Each week there is a guest speaker from a range of community services across Tameside e.g.: the deaf team, Community Response, the visual impairment team and Greater Manchester Fire Service. These are followed by chair based exercise sessions to improve strength and balance, which prevents isolation and loneliness and promotes independence. Please note: You need confirmation from your GP to take part. (Ashton-under-Lyne)
