• Information and Advice service

The information and advice service provides comprehensive welfare benefits advice, general legal information, housing and social care advice for the over 50's in the Tameside area. This includes benefit checks, welfare benefit information and help applying for benefits. We also help with financial assessment for residential and non-residential care via form filling, and general advice on how to get an assessment from the correct source. We can refer people to the Adult Services Assessment Team for minor adaptation assessments. You can drop in to see us without an appointment on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons. If we are unable to offer direct help, we will signpost you to another local agency. (Ashton-under-Lyne)
