Rapid testing is now available for voluntary, community and social enterprise volunteers and workforce with no Covid-19 symptoms. Supporting communities throughout the pandemic, in public facing roles, means your workforce is eligible to receive regular and rapid testing. Anyone who can't work from home, or comes into regular contact with the public, is strongly encouraged to get tested. You've done so much for our borough and this testing service offers the opportunity to help to protect you, your loved ones, and those you come into contact with. Public Health staff recommend that anyone who is eligible gets tested twice a week – an increase from once a week. Testing gives you a result for that moment in time and so by testing more frequently, we can better help to prevent the spread of Covid-19 unknowingly. With evidence to suggest the new variant of Covid-19 may be linked to a higher mortality rate we need to do everything we can to stop the spread and protect each other. You don't need to book, you can simply turn up at one of the rapid testing centres and bring ID and proof of occupation. Volunteers will need to provide proof of their key worker status and confirmation letter to present when attending testing sites. Action Together can provide a volunteer confirmation letter, please contact lisa.hannibal@actiontogether.org.uk. |
