Community Groups and charities - last week we asked groups to let us know what they were doing in Tameside at the moment. We heard from: Being There - Telephone befriending service for people with life limiting illnesses. Face-to-face help is not available at the moment, but you can receive support by phone. If you’ve recently used a health or care service and want to share your experience, we’re here to listen (compliments, concerns or anything in between are all of interest to us). Tameside Oldham and Glossop Mind - changes have been made to the way support is provided, with all services now phone or web-based. Information can be found on their website www.togmind.org/service-and-covid19-updates British Sign Language - on demand access to BSL interpreters in any healthcare situation during the COVID-19 lockdown.
