Speak Up#

Healthwatch England have been running a campaign asking people to Speak Up# about their experience of using health and care services.

We are hearing in the news about the pressures the NHS and social care are facing this winter.

Have you used health or care services recently? What did you think?

Healthwatch Tameside would love to hear about your experiences - whether they are good, or how you think improvements could be made.

You can tell us via our website www.healthwatchtameside.co.uk/content/your-story  where there are various options including: online Care Opinion feedback, private feedback directly to Healthwatch Tameside and links to our surveys. Alternatively, you can give us a call on 0161 667 2526 or you can email us at info@healthwatchtameside.co.uk

Thank you

Dementia care

Dementia United working with localities across Greater Manchester is planning a series of events looking at improving dementia care and support across Greater Manchester.

The aim of the event is to understand the diversity of people’s experience of living with dementia, including their care and support requirements, and to ensure that this is reflected in the Greater Manchester Dementia Care Pathway. They want people affected by dementia to get involved in the conversation and have their say on local services and voicing their views on the services you would like to receive in the future.

The event in Tameside is on Friday 27 March, 12 - 2 pm, George Lawton Hall, Dukinfield Town Hall.

More details can be found on this flyer including how to book a place.

Healthwatch Tameside reports

At the end of each project, Healthwatch Tameside produce a report, which is sent to the relevant provider(s) and commissioner of the service(s) mentioned in the report. Copies of the reports can be found on our website at www.healthwatchtameside.co.uk/healthwatch-tameside-publications

The most recent document reported on our findings from talking to patients at Ashton Medical Group. The statement received from the practice is included in the report.

Thank you to all the patients who stopped to talk to us.
