Oldham Community Explorers Central District

Calling all voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise organisations (VCFSE) in Central district (Coldhurst, Medlock Vale and Werneth wards).

Action Together have listened to what our members are saying about opportunities to network locally and have organised a series of monthly Community Explorers gatherings starting from June 2018. The purpose of these gatherings is to enable voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) sector groups and organisations within local communities to network with each other to enable them to find out what each other are doing, what else is happening in your area and how Action Together can support you.

By using your knowledge, skills, networks and connections of assets in the community VCFSE groups and organisations are then better able to raise awareness of the on-going experiences and issues that affect local people. It is also an opportunity to develop collaboration between VCFSE and public sector organisations.

The purpose of the gatherings:

  • meet with other VCFSE organisations
  • find out what is happening in your local area
  • work better with others in your local community
  • meet those in the know and get support from Action Together
