Health Literacy Training is aimed at community professionals and leads who work with local people or groups to deliver health education training and empower self care.

What is Health Literacy?

Health Literacy is the ability to access deliver and receive relevant health information to make decisions to improve health.

What will the training do?

The training will raise awareness of health literacy and address gaps and barriers in knowledge. Staff will learn new methods of supportingĀ individuals via techniques and have access to a range of resources. Staff will also learn how to help families and individuals make healthier choices, manage long term conditions, support learning disabilities and meet BAME needs.

Is the training free?

Training is completely free, but we are only able to offer 25 places to community professionals.
